Religious Education Programs
The elements of a comprehensive catechesis embrace word, worship, service and witness. Each unit of the parish - family, religious education or school programs, and the variety of parish ministries must incorporate all of the components of catechesis - word, worship, service, and witness.

The Religious Education Program follows the Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines. We currently use, Be My Disciples, published by RCL Benzinger. The series offers a Christ - Centered, balanced approach. Be My Disciples emphasizes learning and practicing the skills and habits, virtues and spiritual gifts that lead young disciples to higher levels of moral thinking. They provide easy to follow lessons for co-catechists and students.

Service and Support
We do our best to serve and support you in the faith formation of our children. We know that one hour of instruction each week for 22 weeks is a small fraction of what is necessary on the life-long journey of becoming Christ-like. Nevertheless, if that hour reinforces your family's faith and parish life, your child will experience God in a community setting that goes beyond what you can do alone.
Preparation for the Sacraments of First Eucharist and Reconciliation
The parish provides a sacramental preparation program for the children enrolled in the parish school and religious education programs. This program is designed for second grade children and their families in both the OLL School and public school programs.

What is the purpose of CLW
Parent involvement in religious education is an indispensable component of our program. Parents are asked to accompany their children on the first day of class to meet the teachers and learn about the curriculum. Parents, who are not teaching in the classroom, are expected to participate in some aspect of the program during the year.
